If you're dreaming of getting on the road again, you are in the right place. WUCF's Central Florida Roadtrip is back on the road for a brand-new season premiering Thursday, June 17 at 8 p.m. Host Dr. Phil Hoffman sets out in his Mazda Miata to explore the history and stories of the counties that make up Central Florida.

This season learn more about:

  • Brevard County – June 17
  • Polk County – June 24
  • Volusia County – July 1
  • Osceola County – July 8
  • Lake County – July 15
  • Orange County – July 22

“We cannot be happier to get back out on the road to share the sights, sounds and places of Central Florida in this new season of Central Florida Roadtrip,” Dr. Hoffman said. “There’s an adventurer in all of us, and as Central Florida’s Storytellers, WUCF is delighted to be that window into the history and stories in our own backyard.”

In the new season, Dr. Hoffman visits Brevard County's most iconic landmark - the Vehicle Assembly Building, explores airplanes and aviation at Fantasy of Flight in Polk County, discovers more about the history of moonshine at the Yalaha Bootlegging Company in Lake County, and learns the story of how the implosion of Orlando’s former City Hall building was used in the movie Lethal Weapon 3.

In its seventh season, Central Florida Roadtrip is hosted by WUCF executive director Dr. Phil Hoffman and produced by veteran television journalist Buddy Pittman. The program explores the communities and history across the Central Florida area.

Central Florida Roadtrip airs Thursdays, beginning June 17 at 8 p.m. on WUCF.
