Helpful Tips For A Weather Emergency

Hello Neighbors, 

As subtropical storm Nicole approaches Florida, WUCF would like to remind you of some resources and helpful tips to prepare in advance. 

Tips for Preparation: 

  1. Make a Family Emergency Plan
  2. Prepare A Supply List
  3. Know Your Home. Know Your Zone.
  4. Stay tuned to the Radio, Television, or Social Media
  5. Locate Shelters Near You And Pet Shelters If Needed

 

A Supply list for when you are at the store: 

 
  1. 3-day supply of water (one gallon per person, per day)
  2. 3-day supply of non-perishable food
  3. At least one change of clothes
  4. First-aid kit
  5. Battery-powered portable radio
  6. Flashlight, with extra batteries
  7. Extra battery packs for mobile devices
  8. Credit card AND cash
  9. Prescription and non-prescription medication
  10. Sleeping bag, blanket and/or pillow
  11. Emergency contact list (on paper)
  12. Special items for infants, elderly or disabled family members
