A new limited series podcast debuts today, examining Central Florida musicians forced to pivot their careers due to the COVID-19. Produced by WUCF FM, 89.9 Jazz & More, two episodes of “Pivoted” are available now at wucf.org/pivoted, with additional episodes debuting on Thursdays over the next six weeks.

In this eight-part series, WUCF FM producer Kendra Weaver talks to Central Florida music makers about how their creative work lives have evolved since the COVID-19 shutdown of music venues and performance spaces. Jeff Rupert, Carol Stein, Benoit Glazer, and Sisaundra Lewis are some of the artists featured in this fascinating look at how music creation continues in their lives and communities.

“Central Florida has a strong local music scene and we wanted to highlight their talent, creativity, and how they are navigating the changes they’ve had to make during this historic time in our community,” said Dr. Phil Hoffman, WUCF Executive Director. “WUCF prides itself on being Central Florida’s Storytellers, and ‘Pivoted’ makes sure these artists are still heard while navigating this new world.”

Listeners can check out episodes at wucf.org/pivoted.
