WUCF's Florida Road Trip Premieres New Season in Orlando on Sept. 18

ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 15, 2025) – Orlando's untold stories take center stage in the season premiere of Florida Road Trip, airing at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, on WUCF.

Hosted by Emmy® Award-winning journalist Scott Fais, the episode explores Orlando's layered past, from the quiet legacies found in Greenwood Cemetery to the vibrant cultural traditions of Little Vietnam.

Viewers will meet local historians, community leaders and lifelong residents who reflect on the people and places that helped shape the City Beautiful beyond the theme parks.

Featured voices include:

  • The history of Lake Eola Park's iconic fountain and its swans

 

This episode marks the launch of Florida Road Trip’s 2025 season, which features eight new episodes airing weekly on WUCF and statewide.

The series began in 2017 in Sanford and has since grown to explore stories across Florida's cities and towns, connecting viewers with their local history and culture.
