ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 5, 2026) — WUCF has been named a Central Florida Top Workplace for the third consecutive year, recognizing the public media station and the team behind its service to the region.
WUCF placed in the top 10 among 46 organizations with fewer than 150 employees recognized in the 2026 Orlando Top Workplaces awards. The station also received the only Specialty Award for Community Engagement.
"Everything we do at WUCF starts with the people who make it possible," said Jennifer Cook, executive director and assistant vice president of WUCF TV & FM. "They believe deeply in public media and what it can mean for Central Florida communities. Knowing this recognition reflects their experience at WUCF makes it especially meaningful. Earning it for a third year makes me incredibly proud of the place we continue to build together."
The Top Workplaces awards by the Orlando Sentinel Media Group are based on results from a confidential employee survey administered by Energage, an employee engagement technology company. The survey measures aspects of the employee experience, including whether employees feel respected and supported and whether they have opportunities to grow.
"Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees," said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. "That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they're allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends."
