WUCF hosts space event with WMFE

As NASA prepares to head back to the moon for the first time in nearly 50 years, WMFE and WUCF, Central Florida’s public media organizations, will host an out-of-this-world event for local space lovers on August 24 at 7 p.m. at the Orlando Science Center.

NASA’s Artemis I spacecraft is scheduled to launch an uncrewed mission to the moon from Kennedy Space Center later this month. The mission will be a critical test before astronauts set foot on the lunar surface in 2025.

WMFE and WUCF invite the public to attend a free panel discussion about what’s ahead for deep space exploration as humans return to the moon. The panel of experts will also explore the goals of NASA’s next moon missions and how commercial players such as SpaceX, Blue Origin, and Boeing are contributing to exploration – and the challenges that still remain.
