WUCF is celebrating what it means to be a caring neighbor with special guest, Daniel Tiger, at the sixth annual “Be My Neighbor Day” in Winter Park on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Join us Saturday, Feb. 15 in Winter Park’s Central Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. WUCF and Winter Park History Museum will host family-friendly activities themed around being a caring neighbor. Guests will also have an opportunity to meet Daniel Tiger, star of the PBS KIDS program, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Families can enjoy performances by Mr. Richard, Comedy Maks, Kappa Kappa Psi – the Eta Sigma chapter (marching band), and Orisirisi African Folklore along with new activities and photo opportunities. The event is free, and your whole family won't want to miss it!

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is one of PBS’ most popular animated programs and airs weekdays at 10 a.m. and on weekends at 7:30 a.m. on WUCF. The program builds on the pioneering PBS series, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, and is produced by The Fred Rogers Company. This series tells engaging stories about the life of a preschooler using musical strategies grounded in Rogers’ landmark social-emotional curriculum. Through imagination, creativity and music, Daniel and his friends learn the key social skills necessary for school and life.
WUCF is proud to co-host this event with Winter Park History Museum as part of Winter Park’s Weekend of the Arts event, allowing anyone to discover arts and culture with exciting performances and unique exhibits at over 20 organizations throughout the city. The Winter Park History Museum will provide educational panels on the life and legacy of the late Fred Rogers. The exhibit will showcase the life-long connection that Fred and wife Joanne enjoyed with Rollins College and Winter Park.
