Orlando, FL WUCF’s Florida Road Trip is back on the road this week making a pit stop in Clearwater. Join us on this journey through history as we visit iconic locations including the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre, Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Robert’s Christmas Wonderland.

“I’ve visited Clearwater before for concerts, but I see the city in a whole new light after interviewing historians for this episode,” said Heather Bailey, Executive Producer of Florida Road Trip. “I had no idea the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre was originally an open-air facility near where Coachman Park is now located. After learning about the theatre’s origins, we were excited to showcase how its history is honored today. I think people will have a new appreciation for the space when they see a show in the theatre after watching the Clearwater episode.”

In addition to the theatre, the show makes a stop at The Collection on Palmetto, where viewers witness the industrial revolution come to life with a variety of working engines on display. The episode will also share the story of Fort Harrison, built in 1841, highlighting its unique purpose compared to other forts of its time.

Clearwater is the third episode of Florida Road Trips' epic season 10 journey. Stream the first two episodes now and mark your calendar for new episodes coming soon.
