In a collaborative effort to empower Florida voters, and part of our ongoingAmerica250initiative,WUCF has joined forces with public media stations across the state to create the 2024 Florida Voter Guide. This comprehensive resource launched today, August 1, 2024. The guide will provide detailed information on every state and federal race, including candidate profiles and their stances on key issues.

“WUCF is proud to work with PBS stations across Florida to offer this invaluable tool for voters,” said Jennifer Cook, Executive Director of WUCF. “As we continue our America250 initiative, providing Central Florida viewers free access to important information like candidate resources is key to empowering voters to understand issues that affect them locally."

The 2024 Florida Voter Guide is part of WUCF's commitment to helping the community navigate the 2024 election by providing crucial voting information and coverage of regional races. The tool will be prominently featured in WUCF's online and on-air content throughout this pivotal election year as the station continues to deliver America250 content. America250 is WUCF’S multi-year nonpartisan initiative that will explore all aspects of American life in the lead up to the 250th anniversary of the United States The guide will also be used in our local current affairs program, NewsNight. NewsNight is a weekly round-table show airing Fridays at 8:30 p.m. on WUCF, where journalists discuss major local stories and their community impact.

"The 2024 Florida Voter Guide will be an invaluable tool for our viewers. It will allow us to deliver more in-depth, accurate, and timely election coverage to our viewers,” said Steve Mort, Host of NewsNight. “By incorporating this resource into our NewsNight coverage, we'll be able to foster more informed discussions about the candidates and issues that matter most to our Central Florida community."
