LEESBURG, Fla. (September 2, 2025)Beacon College – the first accredited baccalaureate institution in the United States for neurodivergent students – has once again partnered with PBS member station WUCF TV to launch a new season of its award-winning television series, A World of Difference: Embracing Neurodiversity.

A World of Difference is set to premiere its sixth season Saturday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m., and will re-air Friday, Sept. 12, at 2:30 p.m. This is the program’s fourth consecutive season to air on WUCF TV.

“Our partnership with WUCF TV continues to be a powerful platform for sharing stories that celebrate the strength, creativity and resilience of the neurodivergent community,” said Darryl E. Owens, creator and host of the show and Beacon College’s associate vice president of communications and engagement. “Season six builds on our institution’s commitment to telling stories that are too often missing from public discourse and provides meaningful representation for viewers who rarely see their experiences reflected on screen.”

Each episode will continue to explore neurodiversity topics through candid conversations and interviews with leading experts, families and successful adults who thrive with their learning differences. Building on the documentary-style approach introduced last season, season six will feature more in-depth personal stories designed to inform and connect with viewers. With one in five people now diagnosed with a learning difference, A World of Difference serves as a much-needed resource for families and educators seeking insight and support.

The show continues to grow through its partnership with WUCF TV, reaching a potential 5 million households in Central Florida, while also being available to stream nationwide via the free PBS app. Earlier this month, season four of A World of Difference was also made available for PBS stations nationwide to air in their respective markets through the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA), expanding the show’s reach across the country. Since its launch in 2020, A World of Difference has continuously garnered national attention, earning five Telly Awards, three Anthem Awards, PR News’ CSR Diversity Award and more.

“Our hope for every program at WUCF TV is to educate and inspire our viewers watching at home,” said Jennifer Cook, WUCF executive director. "A World of Difference embodies these values and gives a voice to a community we believe deserves to be seen and heard. As the show continues to grow, we are proud to be its home station and look forward to sharing it with other communities across the nation.”

The sixth season of A World of Difference will consist of 11 total episodes and explore a variety of topics, including job searching for the neurodivergent, single parenting neurodivergent children, strategies for memorization, organization and test-taking for the neurodivergent — and much more.

In past seasons, A World of Difference has welcomed several notable guests, including famed autism advocate Dr. Temple Grandin, NBA champion Gary Payton II and Station Eleven television producer Scott Steindorff.

This season’s lineup promises another exciting roster of guests including:

  • Chris Redding, a Grammy-nominated artist, producer and neurodiversity advocate who created Visions of Sounds, an album inspired by his nonverbal autistic son designed to foster connection through ambient chant, hip-hop and R&B;
  • Brian Jordan, a former MLB All-Star and NFL safety who advocates for youth empowerment and neurodiversity through the Brian Jordan Foundation, supporting educational access and inclusion for children with learning differences;
