WUCF FM, 89.9 Jazz & More is proud to announce Kayonne Riley, Director of Radio and Administration, has been named JazzWeek’s Programmer of the Year for terrestrial radio. The annual awards ceremony honors and celebrates jazz music across the country.
Kayonne joined WUCF as program director and program host in 1994. As station manager, she began the process of transitioning the station to a full-time straight-ahead jazz format that the community now enjoys.
“We know WUCF FM is an important part of the soundtrack in the lives of many Central Floridians and Kayonne is an integral part of what makes the station successful,” said Dr. Phil Hoffman, WUCF Executive Director. “We are proud that Kayonne has been recognized on the national stage for her continued dedication to our station.”
Winners of the 2019 JazzWeek Awards were announced at an awards reception on August 8 in San Jose at the JazzWeek Summit.
WUCF FM is currently celebrating 40 years of serving Central Florida.
