It’s time to heat things up! In the Key of Latin Jazz podcast, from WUCF FM, is launching monthly beginning March 1, 2022, at wucf.org/latinjazz. Each month, get to know a different guest who lives and breathes the heart of Latin jazz.

“With In the Key of Latin Jazz, we're thrilled to shine the spotlight on incredibly talented and innovative Latin jazz musicians,” said Kayonne Riley, WUCF FM Director of Radio. “Since the music created by these artists often becomes the soundtrack for our listeners' lives and events - presenting the stories of these well-known and emerging Latin jazz music makers is a cherished opportunity for us to serve our community.”

The first guest, Cuban jazz pianist Dayramir Gonzalez, talks about bonding with his father over music at an early age and how that helped him continue the legacy in New York and worldwide. Gonzalez is recognized worldwide as a composer and artist of significance, and this episode delves into how his Cuban musical education and the work of significant artists like Chucho Valdes, Juan Formell and Los Van Van, and Chano Pozo have shaped his sound and direction in music.

Listeners can check out episodes the first of every month at wucf.org/latinjazz or listen on all major podcasting platforms.
