All summer long, as we prepare for the next steps - your favorite PBS shows, and local programs are waiting for you to explore! Here is what to watch: 

 

Central Florida Roadtrip Season 7 

Premieres June 17

Thursdays at 8 p.m. on WUCF 

Description: Central Florida Roadtrip is back on the road! We’re taking a ride through history to discover some of the most interesting people and places in Central Florida. Central Florida Roadtrip was born out of an idea to allow viewers to learn more about the cities and towns in which they live and visit. On this season, each new episode will focus on the counties! We're excited to share more fascinating, local stories you won’t want to miss.

Rick Steves Europe Awaits 

Premieres Monday, June 7 at 8 p.m. 

Description: Travel lovers have spent the last year or so dreaming of where they will travel post-COVID. In this special, Rick Steves shares vivid and unforgettable visits to European favorites--offbeat, romantic, or just good for the soul-- that he would love to visit when we can travel again.

Rick Steves Island Hopping  

Premieres Saturday, June 19 at 4:30 p.m. 

Description: ALL ABOARD! In this unforgettable voyage, join Rick Steves on a tour of four of Europe's most intriguing and surprising islands — from the Mediterranean to Scotland: Malta, Capri, Orkney, and Skye. We'll take an island-hopping adventure to remote beaches, Crusader castles, a Blue Grotto, prehistoric wonders, and salty traditional island lifestyles.

Airs Wednesday, June 16 at 9:30 p.m. 

Description: After more than 30 years documenting nature across Florida, Filmmaker Elam Stoltzfus has put together a documentary that brings his many adventures together in one program.

Airs Sunday, June 20 at 7 p.m. & 8 p.m. 

Airs Sunday, June 27 at 7 p.m. 

Description: This four-part series takes an in-depth look at the workings of some of Scotland’s most magnificent country estates through the eyes of the current owners, the ghillies, the gardeners, and the housekeepers, not forgetting the paying guests who frequent these stunning country estates.

Wonders of Mexico 

Airs Wednesday, June 30 at 9 p.m.

Description: Travel south along Mexico's mountain spine; explore the tropical forests of the Maya and journey across the deserts of Northern Mexico to discover its amazing wildlife and culture.

The Fellowship of The Springs Magic Waters 

Premieres Thursday, July 8 at 4 p.m. 

Description: The Fellowship of the springs is a two-part, two-hour documentary series by director/producer Oscar Corral and Explica Media. The two episodes of the film take viewers into the wonder and beauty of Florida's unique but troubled springs. Florida has the largest and highest concentration of freshwater springs on earth, and the fight to save them is raging.

NATURE: Wild Florida 

Airs Wednesday, July 7 at 8 p.m. 

Description: Florida is home to beaches, coral reefs, pine forests, and the famous Everglades wetland, but a growing human population and abandoned exotic pets like pythons are threatening this wild paradise. Can Florida’s ecosystems continue to weather the storm?

Ireland with Michael 

Premieres Sunday, June 27 at 12:30 p.m.

Airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

Rick Steves Cruising The Mediterranean 

Airs Monday, August 2 at 10 p.m. 

Description: In this one-hour special, Rick sails from Barcelona to Athens, with stops in the French Riviera, Rome, and more. Our goal: to explore the ins and outs and pros and cons of cruising. We’ll learn how to make the most of the cruise experience, from enjoying time on the ship to exercising independence on shore — savoring iconic sights and romantic island getaways.

Ken Burns: The National Parks 

Airs Wednesday, August 25 at 9 p.m. 

Description: Filmed over the course of more than six years at some of nature's most spectacular locales, the film is a story of people from every conceivable background—rich and poor, soldiers and scientists, natives and newcomers—who were willing to devote themselves to saving some precious portion of the land they loved and in doing so reminded their fellow citizens of the full meaning of democracy.
