Orlando, FL Florida Road Trip heads to Kennedy Space Center to revisit the history of the first launches along the space coast through the benchmarks to the evolution of America’s space program. It shares stories about some of the notable projects and programs including Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and the space shuttle.

“As a producer who previously worked at Central Florida news stations covering the shuttle program, each visit to Kennedy Space Center is a treat," said Heather Bailey, Executive Producer of Florida Road Trip. "This time was especially meaningful as I returned with our host, Scott Fais, who covered the landing of space shuttle Atlantis with me back in 2011. I am always reminded of how much Florida history continues to unfold on this coast, and sharing the stories of those who experienced it is truly memorable.”

The episode ventures out to the city of Titusville where Kennedy Space Center is located. It’s home to many museums and memorials that allow people from near and far to learn about the impact of space exploration on Central Florida and the world.
