WUCF TV, Central Florida PBS, kicks off its year-end fundraising campaign this Saturday, November 30 with holidays favorites for the whole family. The two-week fund drive includes several new programs including A Classic Christmas, Aretha Franklin Remembered, and Sesame Street 50 Years and Still Sunny. WUCF has a $298,000 membership goal for the drive.
Viewers will have a chance to score tickets to live shows across Central Florida including “Celtic Woman Ancient Land Tour”, “IL VOLO: The Best of 10 Years”, “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood - Live, Wild Kratts Live 2.0”, “David Foster: HITMAN Tour” and “Trans-Siberian Orchestra”.
Community support is critical to WUCF’s success in Central Florida. Donations support WUCF’s mission of local storytelling as it invites viewers to experience the worlds of science, history, nature and public affairs; hear diverse viewpoints; and take front-row seats to world-class drama and performances.
“WUCF is able to be Central Florida’s storyteller through the ongoing support of the community,” said Dr. Phil Hoffman, WUCF executive director. “We hope that in this giving season you will consider supporting the station and all the programs you love.”
