John Bersia, the 2000 Pulitzer Prize winner and host of the WUCF program, Global Perspectives, died Thursday at the age of 62.

On Sunday, March 31 at 9:30 a.m., WUCF will air a special retrospective, highlighting the impact and legacy from the world-renowned interviews hosted by Bersia.

Global Perspectives, a weekly interview show, brought together authors, journalists, diplomats, and activists to share their view of the world to Central Florida.

"John worked tirelessly to bring attention to important issues and to help bridge cultural divides,” said WUCF Executive Director, Phil Hoffman. “He was able to combine his passion for education with a real depth of knowledge to bring an understanding of the world to Central Florida audiences. He will be missed."
