WUCF Introduces NewsNight: A New Locally Produced Program Spotlighting Community Journalism

Discover NewsNight, WUCF's latest locally produced program dedicated to highlighting vital community topics through insightful journalism. Premiering on Friday, April 5 at 8:30 p.m., join us as we delve into the heart of Central Florida's most pressing issues.

The show, hosted by WFTV’s Nancy Alvarez, is a weekly round-table discussion between Central Florida media outlets including WFTV, Orlando Sentinel, WDBO, Florida Today, Orlando Weekly, Bungalower.com and more.

“This show comes at a time when the value of journalism is being questioned. At WUCF, we believe there is always an urgent need for honest storytelling and open discussion,” said Phil Hoffman, WUCF executive director. “This weekly show will provide context and meaning behind some of the biggest stories impacting Central Florida. We will focus on what the daily flow of news means in the broader context to the people who live in Central Florida, with professional journalists at the helm.”

NewsNight will air every Friday at 8:30 p.m. on WUCF.
