Masterpiece: 50 Fabulous Years! is a celebration of the iconic PBS series originally called Masterpiece Theatre — the riveting stories, fabulous performances, magnificent costumes and astonishing ability to transport viewers to another time and place. From Upstairs Downstairs and I, Claudius to The Jewel in the Crown and Downton Abbey, Masterpiece has stood the test of time and introduced generations of PBS viewers to the delights of British drama. Hosted by award-winning actor and author Alan Cumming, Masterpiece: 50 Fabulous Years! premieres Sunday, November 29, 2020, at 8 p.m.

The state of Florida has had a far-reaching effect on the presidency dating all the way back to George Washington. Presidents in Florida, airing Thursday, December 10 at 8 p.m.,uncovers the little-known stories that have created a long-standing bond between Florida and the White House.

Working with a long-standing WUCF FM 89.9 Jazz & More program, Live From Studio A: Holiday Special features local and national recording artists that stopped by Studio A at the WUCF FM studio. The hour-long special will air Thursday, December 3 at 8 p.m. on WUCF TV.

“As Central Florida’s Storytellers, WUCF delivers on its commitment to educate, engage, and inspire those in living Central Florida by providing free trusted, quality and educational content to all of our Central Florida community,” said Dr. Phil Hoffman, WUCF executive director. “It’s the difference we make, but we can’t do it without support from our viewers. Our donors inspire WUCF to do more -- tell more stories, engage more people, and support more people in our community.”

Viewers can also make a difference and support young learners by participating in Giving Tuesday on December 1, 2020. The impact of donations will be incredible, especially for Central Florida’s children, teachers, parents, and caregivers.

WUCF is Central Florida’s community station, and this on-air fundraising drive directly impacts its fiscal year membership revenue goal with private funding making up more than 35 percent of the annual revenue.
