WUCF TV, Central Florida’s PBS station, is excited to announce several new programs for its August Membership campaign that begins on August 16, 2019. Downton Abbey Live on Sunday, August 18 is a coast-to-coast live event that includes several members of the hit show and new previews of the movie ahead of its September release.
The August campaign will also include programming such as Pavlo Live from Guadalajara,This Old House 40th Anniversary Special, Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert at O2, Joe Bonamassa: Live at Red Rocks, and The O’Jays Live in New York.
WUCF TV hopes to raise $260,000 during the 17-day campaign. Donations support WUCF’s mission of local storytelling as it invites viewers to experience the worlds of science, history, nature and public affairs; hear diverse viewpoints; and take front-row seats to world-class drama and performances.
“WUCF relies on viewer contributions as an important source of funding to make programming possible,” said Phil Hoffman, WUCF executive director. “Support from our local community allows us to bring exciting public broadcast programming such as Antiques Roadshow, NOVA, Masterpiece, and Central Roadtrip into the homes of our viewers.”
